Located on beautiful Monhegan Island which is situated 10 miles from the nearest mainland and is approximately 1/2 mile wide & 1 3/4 mile long. The village encompasses a third of the island while the remainder is preserved in its natural state. There are no cars on the island and it is accessible by ferry only. There are many miles of hiking trails that traverse cathedral like woods and spectacular seaside cliffs. Kendall Apartment is a sunny, spacious efficiency apartment with lovely gardens and a south-facing deck. It has a queen-sized bed (roll-away available), fully equipped kitchen and private bath. Situated outside the village, it is a quiet setting in which to unwind and relax. At night you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean.
