Lincolnville, Maine: a unique offering, available all four seasons. Charming newly renovated, 2-bedroom cottage on 8 private acres with stream frontage, woods and fields surrounded by the Ducktrap River Conservancy. Kendall Brook Cottage is comfortable, light-filled, relaxing and equipped with all amenities. There is also a seperate building, with 650 square feet of studio space available. The space was designed with artists in mind, (the owners are well-known Maine artists) but would work well as space for writers, dancers, yoga, meditation, etc. The cottage is available for rent by itself or with the studio.
This is a very quiet, lovely property with abundant wildlife. The Ducktrap River is one of Maine 's last salmon estuaries and is a protected area with extensive hiking trails which are accessible out the back door of the cottage. Pitcher Pond is just a short walk and offers excellent boating, swimming, as well as fishing for bass, pickerel and trout.
In the winter, the house is sunny and cozy with a gas fire place. You can fall asleep to the sound of the stream and, in the morning, take advantage of the extensive cross-country skiing trails beginning on the property and throughout the neighboring area.
It is a short drive to the ocean, Camden , Belfast & Rockland ; galleries, museums, movies and fine dining. Mid-Coast Maine is a vital area that offers easy access to exceptional natural and cultural resources.
